Introduction to CloudPoints

CloudPoints is a token used for settlement in the Simple Cloud .

When using the Backup feature and exceeding the free quota, CloudPoints are required to pay for the exceeded amount:

For the portion exceeding the free storage space quota, 100 CloudPoints will be consumed per 1 GB per month.
For the portion exceeding the free download traffic quota, 500 CloudPoints will be immediately consumed per 1 GB.

Consumption Rate of CloudPoints

The consumption rate of CloudPoints is relatively slow, and 3000 CloudPoints can last a long time.

Let's consider a user who, over the course of a year, has the following usage:

Over the course of the year:

Portion exceeding the free storage space quota (0.50 GB) = Total personal data size (1.00 GB) - Free storage space quota (0.50 GB)
Additional storage space cost per month (50 CloudPoints) = Portion exceeding the free storage space quota (0.50 GB) × Storage space unit price (100 CloudPoints / GB / month)
Additional storage space cost per year (600 CloudPoints) = Additional storage space cost per month (50 CloudPoints) × 12 months

Cost for one download (500 CloudPoints) = Total personal data size (1.00 GB) × Download traffic unit price (500 CloudPoints / GB)
Additional download traffic cost per year (1000 CloudPoints) = Cost for one download (500 CloudPoints) × Number of downloads (2)

At this consumption rate, 3000 CloudPoints would last approximately two years.
